(Please read the posts below for a picture of the building, general information about the apartments, and a little progress report.)
When we first began the rehab, we thought we'd have a couple of units with original firehouse tile/brick floor, a couple of units with hardwood floors, and the rest were ones that we thought we'd for forced to have carpeting in. Although there were some units that had partial hardwood flooring, part of the floor was cement from when they remodeled the building from being a firehouse into apartments, so the previous owner just covered those completely with carpeting.
The good news is that instead of "having" to have carpet in those units, we've decided to:
1) put in brand new hardwood flooring
2) install beautiful ceramic tile
3) maybe do carpeting in select areas, depending on the desires of our new residents
4) consider other options?
If you select an apartment home that does not have the flooring completed yet, we'd love to have your opinion on what type of flooring to install.
Besides the apartment homes rented in the past 2 weeks, there are 2 more now that will be ready to move in soon. Please call for a showing.

PS The exterior work has been put on hold for a couple weeks since we want to finish the apartments that have been promised to new residents.
